    Ulysses intensifies into a typhoon

The typhoon named Ulysses is in the Philippine area of responsibility.  Typhoon Ulysses has an international code name of Dolphin.  According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), typhoon Ulysses has reach  its peak off 120 kilometers per hour near the center and a gustiness of up to 150 kilometers per hour.  It is traveling in the direction of west northwest at 9 kilometers per hour.  Huge waves in the coastal areas, rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected to happen around the country.  According to PAGASA, there is just a small possibility that typhoon Ulysses  awill make landfall because the cold front near the South China Sea might pull the storm northward.  In this case only the cold front will determine the country’s fate specifically the Bicol’s fate typhoon Ulysses will hit the Bicol region.  PAGASA explained that ” If the cold front moves slow, it will influence the tropical storm and pull it up to the north.  But if it moves very vast, it will not influence the direction of the storm.”
