Philippines Continues To Shine as Call Center Hub As Egypt Woes Threatened Its Own Plans

To the political and economic thought that threaten a country, outsourcing is ever inconsistent and can be subject. Sometimes unrest in a country may have little effect on a call center services outsourcing hub, when unrest in the Philippines made a headlines last year and its current state now, this can also still have a negative effect on outsourcing.  In Egypt’s unrest and uncertainties, its plan to emerge as a sought after call center hub may have now been threatened. The unrest has seen the country’s hardwork in terms of economic reforms sidetracked as companies lose confidence in the country especially with the curtailing of the internet which analysts estimate cost Egypt $3 million per day within the outsourcing alone.

The Philippines is one of the preferred destinations for call center outsourcing services worldwide especially in leading the global call center outsourcing market in terms of revenues.  As outsourcing companies have continued expansion plans this year, business has not waned for the country.  The industry expects a 20% annual growth over 3 years with more companies shifting services to the country.  The Philippine subsidiary of Canadian telecommunications company Telus Communications of Telus Corporation assure for the country, citing it as a vital global site for their global business process outsourcing operations.  TELUS is planning to expand further and open a fifth site in the country’s capital adding to its 8,500 strong workforce of which the majority are functioning as a call center agents.  The TELUS call center operations currently make up 80% of the company’s revenues and the company announced that call center operations will likely grow another 20% this year.  TELUS open a fifth site in the country’s capital adding to its 8,500 strong workforce of which the majority are functioning as call center agents and they are planning to expand.

In the Philippines there’s a new contact center operations that are also being established such as the two new company’s in just the past few days.  To travel partners in the region. the contact center’s team consists of 15 consultants which will support the company’s rapidly growing Asia Pacific markets and they also provide assistance.  There is also a new unnamed company that also setting up operations in Davao City in the Philippines.  The company will require 400 call center agents, the unidentified company is one of the five large international contact centers.

Philippines now is one of the hottest destination of outsourcing. Egypt will be able to recover its standing in the cal center outsourcing industry is anyone guess right now even though Egypt will be able to recover as the Philippines has.  Outsourcing helps many lives and most of the companies now prefer outsourcing which the think that outsourcing is the best solution in all.
