India Vs Philippines – The Philippines Edge On Outsourcing Options For Medium Businesses

The outsourcing capital of the world is India.  The India raked in over US$7 billion of the offshore Business Process Outsourcing industry.  It is more than 60% of the offshore component worldwide.  By the year 2012, it estimated that the point to nearly US$50 billion helped along in no small part by the global financial crisis.  This is we’re currently experiencing that the industry growth at nearly 35% each year for the last five years.  The Philippines are looking to gain the market share.

Through call centers that have sprung up across the country, outsourcing in the Philippines is taking flight primarily.  It is primarily centered around Manila, Cebu and Davao City.  The Philippines is much more viable option in recent years because of the abundance of talent at a lower cost that has made th Philippines.

This is some of the examples where the Philippines maintain an edge over India:

    • The lack of skilled workers in India has caused prices to increase in recent years.  The talent pool in the Philippines remains largely untouched.  In the Philippines the current lack of options in the Philippines allows for a higher employee retention and it continued growth with their offshore counterparts.
    • In cost, the Philippines continue a less expensive option.  Compare to U.S, some of the specific industries employee costs in India in approximately 60% of comparable.  The Philippines achieve about 30%   for those same position.
    • When it comes to call centers and customer facing positions, the cultural adaption have employees that understand well the intricacies of American culture that provides huge qualitative benefits.

The Business Process Outsourcing for offshoring is the India, the Philippines are quietly and quickly emerging as a superpower in the outsourcing Industry.  The Philippines government is heavily investing in infrastructure that will allow them to be better compete on the world stage.  It is clear that the Philippines are currently in a “Golden Age” as it relates to Business Process Outsourcing growth,  it continues to be seen that Obama government will do with the outsourcing industry.

This is to show that the two countries is the hottest destination of outsourcing. This is also to show to the people that outsourcing is very important and helpful, it is a way to earn lot of money and to make the work easily.
