Cebu to Offer 5,000 Scholarships for Future Business Process Outsourcing Investments

The prime call center destination in the Philippines is the Cebu City.  It has its government riled up as the province continues to become a top contributor in th country’s overall voice-based Business Process Outsourcing or BPO condition.  To students who would want to start their careers as professionals in the field of BPO and Knowledge Process Outsourcing, the Cebu City Government is giving away 5,000 scholarships.

In the Philippines the move was made to ensure that Cebu does manage to give the non-voice outsourcing investments, this is much deserved boost.  The monopoly over KPO, India currently holds it in which it includes non-voice responsibilities such as banking, finance, consultancy and human resource management.  The managing director of Cebu Investment and Promotions Center or CIPC, stated that the local business process outsourcing sector should always prioritize the recruitment of qualified applicants and steer away from building a call center agencies with a quantity of incomplete employees.

The Cebu’s local government will continue to push the province as the archipelago’s top-tier call center destination, this is base to Yu.  The government is also planning to promote the province as the number one locations from where the country will render operate its KPO services to foreign investors aside from voice-based solutions.

With an English proficiency examinations and assist them to qualify for positions in call center companies, the City Government will start its campaign to educate and train qualified scholars such as support representatives or accent coaches.  Vice Mayor Joy Augustus Yong has divulge that the additional training courses will be given to city college scholars, even though the project is only to students who are enrolled at a four-year course.  To completely upgrade their competency to speak and write proper American English, the program will also involve additional trainings to pubic high school instructors in English and adopt a more consistent educational module.

The study was conducted last year to help stakeholders develop a roadmap for the Cebu information Technology industry.  The CIPC wanted to find out on how the market has evolved since the BPOs came to Cebu about a decade ago.

The outsourcing makes the world colorful because those things before that is impossible will be possible now because of the help of outsourcing.  It also help the people to give hope because in outsourcing there are lots of benefits that you can give.
